In the urban area where the streets are cleared of snow regularly, do we need winter tires for winter driving?
According to Tire and Rubber Association of Canada, advantages of winter tires in winter driving conditions:
- improve surface grip in every type of road condition at temperatures below 7°C.
- offer up to 50% or more traction than all-season tires
Safe Driving Tips:
- For drivers driving during the day, install winter tires before the daytime temperature is below 7°C.
- For those driving in early morning and evening, install winter tires before the early morning or evening temperature is below 7°C.
